Julian Assange Update: New Indictment Alleges Conspiracy with Anonymous Hackers


In this update on the Julian Assange case, we examine the new superseding indictment against him by the U.S. government. The indictment claims that Assange conspired with the decentralized hacking collective Anonymous. Additionally, it states that Assange and other WikiLeaks staff encouraged and recruited others to hack and leak the material to WikiLeaks. The indictment does not contain any additional charges, but it broadens the scope of the existing conspiracy to commit computer intrusion charge.
