Roosevelt himself had a mixed attitude. For example: he was pretty supportive of Mussolini&#8217;s fascism, in fact described Mussolini as that admirable Italian gentleman. He later concluded that Mussolini had been mislead by his association with Hitler and had been lead kind of down the wrong path. But the American business community, the power systems in the United States were highly supportive of Mussolini. In fact even parts of the labor bureaucracy were. Fortune Magazine for example, the major business journal, I think in 1932, had an issue with the headline, I\u2019m quoting it: &#8216;The wops are unwopping themselves.'&#8221;<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Noam Chomsky on the US-Elite&#8217;s view after Hitler&#8217;s rise to power:<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>&#8220;When Germany, when Hitler took over, the attitude was more mixed. There was a concern for a potential threat but nevertheless the general approach of the U.S., the British even more so, was fairly supportive. So, for example in 1937 the State Department described Hitler as a kind of a moderate, fending off the dangerous forces of the right (and left)&#8221;<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<hr \/>\n<h2>About Noam Chomsky:<\/h2>\n<p><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.actvism.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/06\/4496805259_dc531ae142_o.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft size-medium wp-image-1701\" src=\"https:\/\/www.actvism.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/06\/4496805259_dc531ae142_o-300x200.jpg\" alt=\"Noam Chomsky\" width=\"300\" height=\"200\" \/><\/a>Noam Chomsky <\/strong>is a world-renowned political dissident, anarchist, linguist, author and institute professor emeritus at <a href=\"https:\/\/web.mit.edu\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Massachusetts Institute of Technology<\/a>, where he\u2019s taught for more than half a century. Chomsky has written more than 100 books, his latest being \u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/biblioimages.penguin.co.uk\/getimage.aspx?class=books&amp;cat=default&amp;size=large&amp;id=408761\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Because We Say So<\/a>\u201c.\u00a0 Chomsky has been a highly influential academic figure throughout his career, and was cited within the Arts and Humanities Citation Index (A&amp;HCI) more often than any other living scholar from 1980 to 1992. His work has influenced a wide range of domains, including artificial intelligence, cognitive science, computer science, logic, mathematics, music theory and analysis, psychology and immunology. Chomsky also developed the propaganda model of media criticism with <a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Edward_S._Herman\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Edward S. Herman<\/a> which they presented in their book \u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Manufacturing_Consent\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Manufacturing Consent: The Political Economy of the Mass Media<\/a>\u201c. This will provide us an opportunity to pose critical questions directly to the German government which will foster awareness on a host of issues seldom discussed in the mainstream media. The attempt is to translate and synchronize the question and answers in English as well.<\/p>\n<p>We lack technical and financial resources to translate the events and press conference mentioned. This Event is planned for 15. January 2017 and plans to bring leading experts together to discuss the connections between various issues and reveal the system at work.
