In this talk, Prof. Chomsky introduces the propaganda model and explains how propaganda and systemic biases function in mass media by providing numerous examples from their coverage on foreign affairs. His work has influenced a wide range of domains, including artificial intelligence, cognitive science, computer science, logic, mathematics, music theory and analysis, psychology and immunology.<\/p>\n<p>Chomsky also developed the propaganda model of media criticism with <a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Edward_S._Herman\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Edward S. Herman<\/a> which they presented in their book \u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Manufacturing_Consent\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Manufacturing Consent: The Political Economy of the Mass Media<\/a>\u201c.
