He is also an Honorary Professor of economics at the University of Stellenbosch, South Africa.\u00a0He has contributed to various areas of research and policy analysis on African countries, including the issues of external debt and capital flight, financial markets and growth, macroeconomic policies for growth and employment, and the economics of conflict and civil wars in Africa.<\/p>\n<p>He is co-editor of <a href=\"https:\/\/global.oup.com\/academic\/product\/capital-flight-from-africa-9780198718550?cc=us&amp;lang=en&amp;\">Capital Flight from Africa: Causes, Effects and Policy Issues<\/a> and co-author of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.peri.umass.edu\/publication\/item\/442-africa's-odious-debts--how-foreign-loans-and-capital-flight-bled-a-continent\" rel=\"alternate\">Africa\u2019s Odious Debts: How Foreign Loans and Capital Flight Bled a Continent<\/a><a href=\"https:\/\/www.peri.umass.edu\/odiousdebt\/\">,<\/a> published also in French as <a href=\"https:\/\/www.amalion.net\/catalogue_en\/item\/la_dette_odieuse_de_lafrique\/\" rel=\"alternate\">La Dette Odieuse d\u2019Afrique\u00a0: Comment l\u2019endettement et la fuite des capitaux ont saign\u00e9 un continent<\/a>, in addition to dozens of academic articles and book chapters on African development and Macroeconomics.
