We also discuss what lifestyle changes major emitters in the Global North can make to reduce their carbon emissions and why they matter in terms of systemic change. Growing up on her family\u2019s vineyard in California, she studied the effect of climate change on the California wine industry for her PhD in Environment and Resources at Stanford University. Since then, she has published over 50 articles on climate and sustainability in leading peer-reviewed journals, and her research has been featured in outlets incl. <\/span><i><span>The New York Times<\/span><\/i><span>, <\/span><i><span>The Washington Post<\/span><\/i><span>, <\/span><i><span>The Atlantic<\/span><\/i><span>, <\/span><i><span>USA Today<\/span><\/i><span>, <\/span><i><span>Buzzfeed<\/span><\/i><span> and more. In her research, she studies the connections between people, land, and climate. Her goal is to understand how to steward ecosystems to support a good life for everyone alive today, and leave a thriving planet for future generations.<\/span><\/p>\n<hr
