In this episode of The Source, we interview Melissa Ospina Paláu. She is 25 years old and from Colombia. As thousands of Colombians she has been taking to the streets since the end of April 2021. First to protest against a new tax reform proposed by the government of president Iván Duque. We talk about why she – and many other Colombians – still protests after the tax reform has been cancelled. We also examine the atmosphere at the demonstrations including the considerations protesters have to make before taking to the streets. Finally, we discuss what the international community should know about the current situation in Colombia.
