U.S. Munitions Supply DANGEROUSLY LOW Former DoD Official Warns

29. August 2025

In this video, Pulitzer Prize-winning journalist Glenn Greenwald interviews Dan Caldwell, a former U.S. Marine and senior Pentagon policy advisor. The discussion focuses on the imbalance between Russia’s and NATO’s munitions production, and how this gap influences U.S. and NATO strategies in Ukraine. Caldwell argues that decades of deindustrialization, emphasis on prestige weapons systems, and political inertia have left the U.S. unable to sustain large-scale conventional warfare. He also highlights the strain of simultaneous commitments to Ukraine, Israel, and Taiwan, suggesting that U.S. stockpile limitations are increasingly shaping strategic decisions.
