Censorship in Iran or a distorted picture from afar? While public broadcasters report from a distance, investigative journalist and human rights lawyer Dimitri Lascaris travels directly into the war zone and encounters a different reality on the ground.

In this report, he responds to claims that independent reporting from Iran is impossible, showing what he was able to see, film, and publish and why the question of censorship may be more complex than often portrayed.

ABOUT DIMITRI LASCARIS

Dimitri Lascaris is a journalist and lawyer. As a lawyer, he specializes in class action litigation, international law and human rights. He was a member of the shadow cabinets of the Green Parties of Canada and Quebec. In 2020, he ran for the leadership of the Green Party of Canada and came in second. He is also the founder and editor of the YouTube channel Reason2Resist with Dimitri Lascaris.
