ABOUT PETER KUZNICK

Peter Kuznick is associate professor of history at American University and director of the Nuclear Studies Institute. Kuznick founded the Committee for a National Discussion of Nuclear History and Current Policy and co-founded the Nuclear Education Project. He is the author of Beyond the Laboratory: Scientists as Political Activists in 1930s America, co-editor of Rethinking Cold War Culture, and co-author of Rethinking the Atomic Bombings of Hiroshima and Nagasaki: Japanese and American Perspectives (in Japanese, 2010). Currently, he is co-authoring a 12-part documentary film series and book with Oliver Stone titled The Forgotten History of the United States, which is scheduled to air on Showtime in November.
