He spent nearly two decades as a foreign correspondent, including for The New York Times, and was part of the team awarded the Pulitzer Prize for its reporting on global terrorism. Hedges is widely known for his criticism of war, corporate capitalism, U.S. imperialism and the erosion of democratic institutions. He is the author of numerous bestselling books and a prominent voice on issues of foreign policy, social justice and political power.

Aaron Maté is a journalist and commentator who has reported extensively on U.S. foreign policy, the Middle East and media coverage of international conflicts. He has contributed to outlets including The Grayzone, Democracy Now! and The Nation, and is known for his critical reporting on U.S. military interventions and foreign policy. Maté’s work focuses on war, geopolitics, media narratives and the accountability of powerful institutions.
