In this video, investigative journalist and human rights lawyer Dimitri Lascaris analyzes the recently enacted Epstein Files Transparency Act, which mandates the public release of Jeffrey Epstein–related records. He argues that despite its appearance of openness, the Act contains major loopholes – particularly provisions allowing the Attorney General broad discretion to withhold or classify documents – that will likely prevent meaningful transparency. Lascaris concludes that the Trump administration could exploit these exemptions to conceal politically damaging or foreign-policy–sensitive information, limiting accountability for Epstein’s crimes and connections.
