In this video, Pulitzer Prize-winning journalist Chris Hedges speaks with investigative journalist Whitney Webb about the networks behind the expansion of data centers, artificial intelligence, and public-private partnerships in the United States. At the center is Leslie Wexner, Jeffrey Epstein’s most prominent benefactor, and the question of how private actors are gaining increasing influence over state structures, taxpayer money, and economic-policy decisions.

At the heart of the discussion is the broader question of whether the data-center boom is creating a new infrastructure in which the state, corporations, and surveillance are becoming increasingly intertwined.
