Israel has launched an attack on the Gaza Strip and continues to deny the starving civilian population urgently needed humanitarian aid. Meanwhile, Israeli politicians have openly declared their intention to destroy the Gaza Strip and “cleanse” it of Palestinians. In response to Israel’s attack on the Gaza Strip, key Western governments have threatened unprecedented sanctions against Israel. In addition, global opposition to Israel’s military plans is growing.

Dimitri Lascaris and Beirut-based geopolitical analyst Laith Marouf discuss where all this is leading. Lascaris and Marouf also discussed Trump’s recent trip to West Asia and the nuclear negotiations between the United States and Iran.
