Julian Assange Case Update: UK Supreme Court Rejects Appeal

In this video, we provide the latest update on the extradition proceedings of WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange. A panel of three UK Supreme Court judges rejected Assange the ability to appeal extradition before the Supreme Court. The case will now be sent back to the Magistrate’s Court and then referred to UK Home Secretary Priti Patel to either authorize or reject the extradition. The defense still has the opportunity to appeal portions of the lower court’s decision in which the judge did not rule in Assange’s favor. The WikiLeaks founder is approaching his fourth year in Belmarsh Prison.
