Saudi-U.S. Alliance Under Pressure: Airports and Oil Facilities Hit

12. October 2026

In this video, investigative journalist and human rights lawyer Dimitri Lascaris examines the latest escalation involving Saudi Arabia, Yemen and Iran. He looks at attacks on Saudi airports and key oil facilities, new developments in the Yemen conflict, and growing pressure on shipping around the Strait of Hormuz.

Lascaris asks how resilient Saudi Arabia’s position really is despite extensive support from Washington, what the attacks on energy infrastructure could mean, and whether the regional escalation is increasingly becoming a problem for the global economy.
