In her speech at the Munich Peace Conference 2025, Francesca Albanese critiques the international response to the Israel-Palestine conflict, arguing that peace based solely on security is misguided and has justified systemic oppression of Palestinians. She asserts that Israel’s actions, particularly in Gaza, amount to genocide and are enabled by Western complicity, particularly from Germany. Albanese emphasizes the role of international law in addressing these injustices and calls on civil society to demand accountability and an end to occupation, apartheid, and colonial violence.
