DiEM25 in Germany – Democratising Europe with a Progressive Plan

In this video we document the activities of the pan-European progressive movement called the Democracy in Europe Movement 2025 (DiEM25) during its political assembly that it held on the 24th of November 2018 in Berlin. The press conference that took place on the following day can be viewed by clicking here.

The Democracy in Europe Movement 2025 was launched by Yanis Varoufakis & Srećko Horvat in 2016 and has officially transformed into political party (based in Germany) and will take part in the European parliamentary elections of 2019.

DiEM25 is a pan-European, cross-border movement of democrats that is focused on addressing the economic and social problems faced by Europe today. It provides an alternative to austerity policies that it  argues are dividing the continent and fueling the rise of “international nationalists“.
