Assange Update: NEW Court Developments & Assange’s Birthday


In this video, we discuss the latest call over hearing on Monday June 29th in the Julian Assange case. The hearing was held at Westminster Magistrates Court before Judge Vanessa Baraitser. The new superseding indictment was addressed in court and a venue for the second portion of the substantive extradition hearings was announced. In light of the new indictment, organizations including Reporters Without Borders, Doctors4Assange and International Association of Democratic Lawyers issued statements in support of the WikiLeaks founder.

Investigativer Journalismus soll mit der Verurteilung von J. Assange unmöglich gemacht werden. Kritische, insbesondere systemkritische Presse soll nicht mehr stattfinden. Die 4. Macht im Staat existiert nicht mehr. Die Journalisten der öffentlich-rechtlichen Sender und etablierten Tageszeiten treten so gut wie nicht für die Freiheit und die Unabhängigkeit der Presse ein. Wenn J. Assange ausgeliefert und verurteilt ist, wissen alle Journalisten wo die Grenze gezogen ist. Ich glaube, GB wird J. Assange ausliefern. Sie haben schon die Goldreserven von Venezuela per Gerichtsurteil nicht an Venezuela zurückgegeben. GB steht eng an der Seite der USA. Nur zur Klarstellung. Es sind nicht die Menschen in GB und den USA, es sind die Regierenden, nicht die Bevölkerung, die für die Auslieferung und anschließend sehr wahrscheinliche Verurteilung von J. Assange verantwortlich sein werden.
