In this episode of The Source, we speak with author and independent journalist Fabian Scheidler about the latest developments surrounding Israel-Gaza and Ukraine. We begin the interview by examining the role of the United States in the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. Then we talk about the recent row between Israel and Iran and the West’s response. We look at the recent government crackdown on the Palestine conference organized by Jews and Germans in Berlin, as well as the political banning of Greek politician Yanis Varoufakis and what these developments mean for civil liberties in Germany. Then we switch to Ukraine and inquire whether the $61 billion recently appropriated by the US Congress, which includes longer-range ATACMS missiles, will be sufficient to achieve Ukraine’s war aims. Finally, we talk about the latest developments related to the various Nord Stream Pipeline investigations.
