Dear Followers & Supporters,
acTVism Munich is an independent, non-profit and bilingual media organisation that is largely operated by volunteers.
Since our inception in 2014, our video channel has seen around 44 million minutes of viewing time, reached 4 million views and attained 26,500 subscribers. These include thought provoking and informative interviews in original English and in the translated German with experts such as Edward Snowden, Noam Chomsky, Yanis Varoufakis, Bill McKibben, Ernst Wolff, Wikileaks, Gerald Hüther, Rainer Mausfeld, Glenn Greenwald, Jill Stein, Abby Martin as well as over 40 local activists and organizations. For more information on our background and history, please click here.
We have achieved all of this free of advertisement or corporate and state funding. And despite reaching these milestones we are struggling to cover our monthly operating, production and administrative costs which impairs our planning and execution of projects. At the moment, we only have 130 monthly contributors and if we only reach 750 monthly contributors (a fraction of our total YouTube subscribers 26.000) who donate just Euro 5 a month via Patreon we would be able not only to cover our costs but produce content on a regular basis. So if you are watching and have been wanting to donate, then be sure to take a few minutes to start up a monthly contribution. Information is the currency of a democracy – your generosity can help inform and inspire people and help make a difference!
