REWIND: The complete acTVism Video Series with Yanis Varoufakis
Thank you for your interest in our REWIND video series. Towards the end of the year, we will compile our most exciting and informative interviews that we have conducted from 2014 to 2020. Today we present our video compilation with Yanis Varoufakis.
On December 4, 2020, we launched our crowdfunding campaign with the goal of continuing our independent and nonprofit journalism for 2021. This campaign will end on January 6, 2021. So far 200 people have supported us and we have reached about 6000 euros. We need at least another 9,000 euros to continue our journalism independently in 2021. Yanis Varoufakis is a professor of Economic Theory at the University of Athens, former finance minister of Greece and founder of the Democracy in Europe Movement 2025 (DiEM25). Varoufakis is also the author of several books on the European debt crisis, the financial imbalance in the world and game theory.
DiEM25 is a pan-European, cross-border movement of democrats that is focused on addressing the economic and social problems faced by Europe today. It provides an alternative to austerity policies that it argues are dividing the continent and fueling the rise of “international nationalists“.
